Notable Sporting Achievements: A couple of Kerry colleges medals and the London Senior Championship
Toughest Opponent: Taxi driver after a night out. Apparently they don’t take too kindly to falling asleep in their cab on the way home from a night out
Hobbies: Any sporting activities (supporting or playing) particularly Gaelic games, soccer and rugby. Like to travel as much as I can. Socialising!
Favourite Position: Forwards
Favourite Players: Past – Mikey Sheehy and Maurice Fitzgearld. Present – Seamus “THE Legend” Moynihan
Influences on your career: My dad and my uncle.
The High Point of your career to date: Winning a senior championship medal. Not easily achieved anywhere.
Biggest Disappointments: The multitude of finals I’ve lost.
Ways of improving the game: Introduce the mark for cleaning fielding on kick-outs. At county level introduce a runner to get messages to players on the field. Have inter-county referees as umpires. Limit the stint county board officials remain in a position.
Dislikes about the GAA: The first reaction to change is always “That’ll never work”. Ticket situation for big games – the people that go to games the round of the year at club and county level and struggle to get an All-Ireland ticket (if at all).
Person you would most like to meet: Cliff Richard. See if I could convince him to stop singing and put us all out of our misery. The worst singer in the whole world ever.
JP McManus. A money making machine. Might learn something from him !
Pet Hates:
The Monday morning alarm clock. Reality TV shows. Drivers who don’t maximise the speed limits – driving 40mph in a 60mph zone and a tailback a dozen cars long behind them.
Favourite Music: Open minded to most kinds. Having grown up in the Eighties probably Rock
Favourite Film: The Shawshank Redemption
Ideal Date: A night with Catherine-Zeta Jones and Angelina Jolie in the penthouse suite of the Bellagio
How would you like to be remembered: Someone who lived life to the full
