Interview with Christy Kissane, President, Kingdom Kerry Gaels

What have you personally got from the GAA? Christy A very active life, friends from all over Kerry and the country.

Which player outside of the Kerry Squad do you most admire? Christy Padraig Joyce (Galway) an outstanding forward who has passion and hunger for his game

Apart from Kerry where would you feel happy to live? Christy Kilburn
- Interviewer
Of all the achievements with your club which had the greatest meaning to you? Christy It was winning our first championship here in London, we worked hard together as a team and management and it paid off well.

What frustrates you most about the GAA? Christy I'm not frustrated by it at all I think it is a great organisation

What time do you get up in the mornings? Christy 9am and go to bed? 2am
- Interviewer
Where did your strong GAA interests come from? Christy Living at home in rural Kerry in my day there wasn't a lot of money around so we played football any chance we got. There was the Lucy family, Billy Shea, Pat Hearne and later the Hassets, some of these lads went on to represent Kerry.

You have just come back from Cheltenham, Have you won a fortune? Christy No but I have lost one!

Where is the strangest place you have ever been? Christy Australia lovely country but it is too scattered to far to go for the next pint

What will you do when you retire? Christy I won't retire I want to be like "Sir John Murphy" still going at 92

Whats your favourite Food? Christy Oh Steak!

Who will win the League and the Championship 2002? Christy I feel Mayo will win the league and Kerry for the championship

Which person dead or alive would you like to spend the evening chatting with? Christy Liz Hurley, I think she would fancy me

What does Paidi O Se mean to you? Christy Paidi O Se is someone I feel privileged to call my friend. We have known each other since he first start playing football.. I will always see him whilst at home and he will always call to see me here in London. He gives our club here in London great support and will always attend functions here to promote us.. He is a living legend.
