Kingdom Kerry Gaels (B) 1-16 St.Brendans 0-1

On Saturday evening last as Ruislip the Kingdom Kerry Gaels qualified for the semi-final of the London Senior Reserve Championship with a 1-16 to 0-1 win over St. Brendans. The Kingdom Kerry Gaels were superior in every department. The performance of Cian Evans (son of Killorgan Maestro John) shone like a beacon. He played full forward for the first time ever and scored 1-9. Indeed some of his point scoring would have done the Kerry forwards proud.
The game was over at half time when the Kindom Kerry Gaels led by 0-10 to 0-1.
Their chances were further enchanted when the Brendans were reduced to 14 men after 5 minutes of the second half.
The goal came a great bit of fielding by the impressive Francis Crowe fed Sean Reily who in turn saw Evans lurking behind the defence. His pass found Evans and from 20 yds he shook the roof of the net. Cian had at least 3 more goaling chances saved by the Brendans Keeper.
Best for the Kingdom Kerry Gaels were :
Brendan Clancy, B. Murphy, J. Prendergast, B. Clifford, F. Crowe, S. Reily, K. Scullion, and of course mana of the match Cian Evans.
